PAbowhunter4life
that Seattle got away with.... 1.) Illegal block in the black on Roethlisberger during that interception return. NOT CALLED 2.) Winstrom lined up in the neutral zone about 5 or 6 times. NOT CALLED 3.) There were at least 4 cases of holding against Porter and Hagans that WEREN'T called. 4.) How about the late hit out of bounds on Ward. NOT CALLED 5.) How about the Seahawks only TD being scored on an ILLEGAL pick that the refs let slide. NOT CALLED If you want more, I'll continue.... Anyways, I will now analyze what the Seahawks did right and wrong: RIGHT: Found the stadium WRONG: Were not psychologically or physically prepared. Matt Hasselbeck BEGGING for cheers earlier in the week was a sure sign of a poor mental readiness. To boot, how do you get BURNED on a gadget play in the Super Bowl????? Knowing the Steelers and how often they like to run things like that from midfield, how did Seattle not prepare for that? Poor game planning if you ask me. Biggest sign was Holmgren crying to the ref about Ben's TD, which I posted a picture of earlier and it is CLEARLY a TD. How often do you see Holmgren act like a kid??? Missed 2 field goals Dropped 137 balls Managed the clock poorly Abandoned the run way too early Assumed that their little "dink and dunk" passing would work How about the receivers from Seattle being so unprepared that they can't even manage to get both feet in bounds on what would have been a TD when D Drop had PLENTY of room to work with. How about all them horrible throws from Hasselbeck in to no mans land and the few others that should have been picked off but the Steelers DB's dropped them If you REALLY watched the game, it is clearly obvious who beat the Seahawks. colts1888
Re: Man, I Can\'t Believe All The Penalties....... Not sure that was an illegal block on Ben, looked to me the blocker was dead even with him when he nailed him, i dont remember him blocking from behind. That block was in clear sight and obvious, makes no sense that they would call a BS holding call on the nice kick return on Seattle earlier in the game but not call a deffinite block in the back, and if it were a block in the back it further illustrates how inconsistent these refs were. Winstrom may have been offsides, i dont remember seeing it, but Hagans was offsides on the pass completetion to the 1 which was called back for holding. He also appeared to be offsides on the int. There is holding in every game that goes uncalled. Dwight Freeney is held all the time and it rarely gets called. It's just funny that the holding calls that did get flagged were on big plays for Seattle. The TD was not an illegal pick, Troy simply was fooled on the play and went with the wrong guy. The receiver never even touched him.

[/ QUOTE ] LMAO............ the sad part is you truly believe that. Troy never even looked in the direction of Jackson, he was headed towrds Stevens the whole time. I suppose you still have a hard time believein gthat was a pick he had against Peyton too huh?
colts1888
Re: Man, I Can\'t Believe All The Penalties....... Of all the accusations i have heard about the refs, claiming that play as an illegal pick is about the worst. Troy got fooled on that play plain and simple. It doesnt happen often but it did there. Would have had to have been a killer pick for Stevens to get as open as he was.

Look at the tape, its completely obvious Troy was interested in the inside runner and got burnt. Your claim of how he never looked in Jacksons direction is ludicrous. (Not a spelling error) I was pretty undecided about what team I liked until I saw the so-called touchdown Ben didn't make. He had the ball at his hip and it didn't cross the line until he put it there in front of the ref. He didn't score and infact was a foot or more away. I think at one point that Seattle and Pittsburgh should have been tied at 17 and maybe went into overtime. But that's the way the refs see it and evidently they are as blind as you are. Michiganbowhunter_SQ2
Re: Man, I Can\'t Believe All The Penalties....... for the record i am not a fan of either team....if i can remember correctly..it wasn't even a pick...ITS CALLED A CROSSING ROUTE!!...polamolu(sp) was playing to far off of his man and the outside reciever cut in while the inside reciever cut under...troy was stuck behind both recivers and the corner...for this to be called an illegal pick there would have had to be contact made by thw WR coming from the outside..there clearly wasn't any...just bad defense played... P.S. People need to get over it..ITS OVER..none of this matters anymore...whining isn't going to change anything...
VtBowhunter
Re: Man, I Can\'t Believe All The Penalties....... I am a Steelers fan, and that TD was a good play by Seattle......no pick.......I figured Troy just let him going thinking he wouldn't catch it anyway, lol......why start catching them at that point in the game, LMAO.
