Palssonater
Well we've had some unusually warm temps here this year so I got out to do some ice fishing. Good times, one northern (not worth a picture, but he got the pan lol) Don't I looked relaxed? And finally, I've posted a picture of THE ugliest snowmobile. MINE! Master_Chief
Re: Ice Fishin - Gillam Style That looks cold. Just for curiousity's sake. How thick is the ice?
Palssonater
Re: Ice Fishin - Gillam Style Nah not that cold. Maybe -10C or 20F. So much snow this year, the ice isn't as thick as it normally is(it insulates and prevents more ice). I still have to put a 12" extension on the auger though. There's about 3 to 3.5 ft of ice and about 1.5 snow in the middle of the lake. Usually shovel down to the ice. I'm going again this weekend. Hopefully some more pictures to come. Yeah its been very warm here too, only have 16" of ice on the Ottawa River right now. Still enough to drive a semi on though... We usually have close to 3 feet by now. fisherguy
Re: Ice Fishin - Gillam Style Shaun...good luck finding a driver who will take a loaded semi onto 16 inches. Same thing here, too much snow on teh ice for it to get as thick a normal. Still enough that the winter haul roads are geting going though. RTF
Re: Ice Fishin - Gillam Style Hey guys , don't complain. I have only 4 to 6 inches of ice I have been fishing on. I wish we had at least 12 so I could go around and explore more. Any of you use a Vexilar ? I just bought an FL-8 SE Genz pack.

fisherguy
Re: Ice Fishin - Gillam Style I have used one a few times, and it was neat to use. Basically though for the cost i found it was just another piece of gear to haul along that í don't need.
