I'm getting myself and my boys ready for turkey season. My oldest isn't really into hunting like the rest of the family, but he does love turkey hunting, so it's something I'm really looking forward to! smile.gif

The other day I started going through the fishing supplies to see what needs to be replaced and will probably spend next weekend putting new line on everything. April 1st is opening day for fishing, so that's getting close! smile.gif

I can't wait for something to get going...winter is starting to wear on me....

Been doing some squirrel hunting but that comes to close in a few days. Then it'll be shed hunting when the snow melts off. Mainly I've been occupied with the requirements of senior year in college:-) Fishing will start in April, turkey in May oh and graduation in May to,lol

Re: What are you doing to keep your self occupied?

I've been playing hunting video games to try to fight my need to hunt deer since all of the deer seasons are over. I've also been getting supplies ready for Spring Gobbler in May and setting up my new turkey gun. Besides doing those two things I'm also working my butt off to save up money for a new Hoyt bow. I'm trying to get into archery deer hunting, as the rifle seasons around here are just getting rediculous to hunt public land for anymore. It gets way too crowded on the public lands during rifle deer season and seems to just get worse every year. Last year was horrible I could see hunters on all directions of me sitting with their bright orange sticking out. Still managed to sneak an anterless deer without any of those other hunters seeing them, but buck wise I think I may have to go Archery just to try to get my first buck in this state. Otherwise I'll probably look into hunting Maryland or New York probably.
