Tominator
Don't know if you're aware of this site, but you might want to check out: www.zillow.com This site shows you a map similar to terraserver and it also shows the assessed values of a lot of houses throughout America. Pretty cool. My house isn't on it, my county must not participate, but all the housed right across the road from me in Delaware county are on it. Might want to check it out. popgun
Re: Home Owners That's pretty interesting but I think it must be a little flawed for our area here. My neighborhood isn't listed but my brother's neighborhood is. This site shows the tax appraised value. In Arkansas the tax appraised value is 20% of the fair market value, so you would have to do a little math to find the market value. It does show his home correctly at 2241 sq. ft. and built in 1989. His home is shown at only $26290. Although property is cheaper in Arkansas than many other places, it isn't quite that cheap. It could give someone a few false impressions of property values in Arkansas. ....popgun

MUDRUNNER
Re: Home Owners My house is on there, but it doesn't match the address. It's actually 4 houses down from the one it has listed. The value seems about $20,000 over what it appraised for 2 years ago,and it has the house across the street listed for $40,000 more than our house, and we have pretty much the same house with the same size yard, and the same square footage. Guest finsnfur
Re: Home Owners My house shows up with the street name on the street, but the database errors out when it drops the vowels out of my steet name and tell me there is no house on Knl Rd. They do say it is a BETA site up front. And from the looks of it, it is a good start, but it does need work. I will check back in the future. The photo is pretty neat too. WHISKEYSWAMP
Re: Home Owners Tominator... You might be able get what you are looking for at the county auditors site. I use these a lot for the counties I hunt in. Do a property search and you should be able to get all sorts of info as well as aerial photos. Here's the links for Delaware and Licking Counties... not sure which one you are in. Delaware county auditor Licking county auditor
Tominator
Re: Home Owners Thanks Whiskey. Yeah, I've used Delaware's before. Delaware county is on the ball. Licking is kind of behind. The site you posted must be fairly new, because I regularly check them, but I've never seen that site before. Thanks. Adjam5
Re: Home Owners I think that Zillow.com is a little off with their prices. The house next to me is all original with gavanized plumbing and a 60amp fuse elect. service with no finished basement, and it is listed as 50k more than mine which is practically rebuilt. I also have a pool too! But the satellite photo is cool though.
AdvantageTimberLou
Re: Home Owners Its not right, mine is assessed way below the SEV plus it says I live in a Condimium (sp?). Acreage is right though! I know its not a condo, just built it 4 years ago!
muggs
Re: Home Owners My Dad just showed me this site yesterday, it seemed like the prices are a little off, either to high or to low, I think it's just an estimate of a range they give on the house. clayman
Re: Home Owners WOW. They're about $100,000 more than what I thought for my place. But then there's a house (old victorian mansion) down the street from me that they have WAY undervalued by at least $200,000 if not more.
