dogdoc
Re: info about lime Lime will take 3 to 6 months to fully work so you can lime anytime. I fertilize at time of planting. If time doesn't permit you can also lime when you plant. When I lime at time of planting I'll disc then broadcast the lime then redisc really well to work the lime into the soil. good luck todd

LETMGROW
Re: info about lime The earlier the better for lime. Give it a chance to start working if you can. This way the fertilizer will be more efficient.

LETMGROW
Re: info about lime I have been advised if you use too much lime at the time of planting you stand a chance of burning the seed. If it is feasible, I would suggest putting some down as early as possible to let it work in. Don't try to bring up your PH all at once. Bowhntr
Re: info about lime Powdered lime works faster than pellet lime but either one is a slow worker. The earlier you put it out the more effective it will be. However, you can put it out at planting but just work it in good.
