huntermq32
I have a bushnell trailscout pro and when it gets around 25 degrees it turns off. I think it could be the batteries freezing up but I am not sure.Does anyone else have this problem and if so is there a cetain brand of batteries that last in the cold better.Oh and if I turn it back on it will stay on for a little while then turn back off. Leo
Re: cold batteries Yep, cold kills alkaline batteries. It's really hard on film. If it gets cold enough your film will freeze right in the camera and not expose. Had both happen. Around 20deg or below best to keep anything with batteries or film inside your jacket until you need it.

Shaun_300
Re: cold batteries Yep, the cold always seems to drain my batteries too, one day it was about -20 out, I went to take a pic and the camera wouldn't turn on, I removed the batteries and put them in my pocket for 10 minutes or so, then it worked!
