popgun
Popgun's Trail Camera Foil-proof Security System. Below is a photo of my non-patented Trail Camera Security System, Complete with a 10' Python Cable Lock, and 15' of tow chain. Aprox. weight 40 lbs. As you can see, it leaves a lot to be desired. Sometimes the lens is covered, sometimes the flash and sometimes the motion detector, but it is almost fool-proof. It takes approximately 30 minutes to disarm the system to change the memory card. This is a photo showing how to get around this foil-proof system. ….popgun

Swamphunter
Re: Trail Camera Security (pics.) Popgun, that is cool. I was telling someone about my new Cuddeback I have on backorder from Cabelas and about the bear safe cage for it, and I followed it up with of course you could always cut the tree down! This post fit what I was saying to a T!
popgun
Re: Trail Camera Security (pics.) No, No one has stolen this one. I really only have the Python Cable Lock on it. I have a new digital camera and was just messing around with it today. I went out and swapped the memory card in the Leaf River. I had a wad of tow chain with me and set the picture up for the fun of it. I haven't had one stolen since they got the Cuddeback in 2004. This one is further down by the creek and hopefully no one can see the flash at night. ....popgun

wtnhunt
Re: Trail Camera Security (pics.) LOL. Thought about that when I looked at putting my leaf river on a smaller tree. Figured it would be too easy for someone with a little handheld gamesaw to whack the tree down and steal, so opted for another location with bigger trees. Master_Chief
Re: Trail Camera Security (pics.) Wouldn't you like to be about 25 yards away with a double barrel as some punk tries to undo that chain. Both barrels and then watch 'em run.
