Displaced Midwesterner

My family and I have moved from Wisconsin to Atlanta, GA last year. After a very tough year, I feel as though I have been banished into bowhunting purgatory.

As much as I hate to say it, I may have to save my nickles to hunt with an outfitter. Not that outfitter's are bad, it's just the feeling of losing my independence. I'm not looking for psychological help (although my wife may diagree), just advice on where some good bowhunting mught exist in the state of Georgia would be appreciated. Thanks.

Re: Displaced Midwesterner

I feel your pain. I am a displaced Ohio boy in Virginia Beach. Just can't get swamps and dogs into my blood when it comes to running deer.

Have resorted to hunting one of the Army Forts about 2.5 hours away. Long drive for weekend hunting and absolutely no evenings in the stand.

My wife doesn't seem to get it either.
