He probably thinks his hunger strike is sending a message to the world we are afraid to kill him. This is the same man that claimed he would never be taken alive. Guess that was an empty promise. So am I now to think he has the fortitude and resolve to go through with starving himself to death? When he could easily have ate a bullet before he was captured? I don't think so. [/ QUOTE ] Probably not. I read an article a year or so ago interviewing one of the soldiers who was assigned to the prison to guard Saddam. He talked about ho Saddam was somewhat of a nice guy (or tried to be) and that he had to keep reminding himself all the atrocities that Saddam was responsible for in the last 20+ years. He also said that Saddam was really fond of Cheetos and Dorito's. If that's true, the hunger strike probably won't last long because he'll get a hankering for Chester the Cheetah and be wolfing down Cheeto's in no time.
