I shoot a WB rest and I cant decied what vanes to go with I'm shooting GT xt hunters 55-75 @ 67lbs 100 grain 4 blade muzzys (gonna test out slicktricks this summer) How do the 2 inch blazers shoot outta the WB and a fixed blade?? also does anybody have any info on the 4 inch X vanes from bohning. my two concerns are getting a vane that holds up to the wb and can stabilize a broadhead very well!! open to other suggestions as well Thanks Cody
VermontHunter
Re: Vane help The Blazer Vanes will hold up just fine,, I'm now using the Bohning Killer Vanes, these vanes were specifically designed to be used with the Whisker Biskit Rest.... Bohning makes one heck of a product I can't see where you would go wrong using either the Blazers or the Killer Vanes.. I haven't tried out the X-Vanes as of yet... another great vane out there are the AAE Elites, your options are many,, good thing vanes are cheap for the do-it-selfer... Good Luck and have fun.... Guest adamc
Re: Vane help I shoot a WB with 2 inch blazers and my thunderheads shoot the same as my fieldtips. I don't think you can go wrong with the blazers!!

hutchies
Re: Vane help I also use Killer Vanes and have to second what VermontHunter just said. My target is getting worn in one spot and the other day I shot the same arrow up past the vanes. Went ahead and pulled it thru and it was just fine. I tried the blazers and was not nearly impressed as I thought I would be.

buckee
Re: Vane help I tried all kinds of vanes through my WB, before I finally decided to try Bohning vanes. They were made for the biscuit. The search ended at Bohning for me.
LifeNRA
Re: Vane help I use AAE Speedflyte vanes and some Bohing Killer vanes, shooting them equally. So far its a dead tie, both are holding up very well. By now with the amount of shots I put them through. The Dura vanes would start to show some warpping. AAE Speeflytes have a little lower profile, but both types are 4". What I have noticed between the two is, the Bohning Killer vanes have a larger base for glueing to the shaft. This will really keep the vanes on better, I believe. The AAE Speedflytes have a narrower base. But both seem to be holding very well to the shaft. I just gonna keep shooting them to see which will last the longest! Then Ill have more info.
