tp793
Ok, idk if this should go in here, or the fishing room, so feel free to move it. My dad caught a nice bass around a year ago, and we have wrapped it in newspaper and saran wrap, and it has been frozen since the day we caught it. Would that fish still be mountable, or will it have gone bad? I figured it should still be fine, but just curious what others thought..thanks.. rockefeller66
Re: how long? depends if it is freezer burnt, my dad had a brown trout in the freezer to be mounted and it was ruined from freezer burn, just have to see I guess. RTF
Re: how long? One year aint too bad, but always wrap them in a wet towel then freeze. Not news paper. Does no good and the ink will come off and get onto the fish.
Guest hunter101
Re: how long? the fish it's self should still be good but the fins may be dryied out because the newspaper draws the moisture out of the fins and gets themm all messed up. i think the fish should be fine other then that. always rap the fish in a wet towel or plastic bags work reall well too.
