Re: Anyone have a Husqvarna snow blower?

I live in GA so my answer is NO.

I do however, have a riding mower and it seems nice. I just bought it last year but so far so good.

I think that most either carry a Briggs and stratton engine or a Tecumseh engine so very little differs between the models of mowers or snow blowers.

Re: Anyone have a Husqvarna snow blower?

Confusing thing about any of those powered tools like lawn mowers, snow blowers, weed whackers, chainsaws is that a lot of them use the same exact engines, mostly Briggs & Strattons. I noticed this a few years ago when I was getting tired of running air cooled Briggs engines into the ground when mowing my lawn, they just don't hold up.

My suggestion would be to check the engine and compare it to the other snowblowers and then compare price. Seems to me Husqvarnas are a little more expensive than the other models, and you might be buying a name.

My buddy Ohiobucks got a good deal on a Husqvarna lawn mower last year, he might be able to help more.

Sent you a PM on snowblowers.

My Dad is a logger and has used Husqvarna chain saws for many years. Those bad boys cut like crazy and run a long time.

Re: Anyone have a Husqvarna snow blower?

I am with Tominator, I have had a LOT of problems out of a Briggs lately.

I bought a snapper push mower and it lasted two mowings before it would cut out when hot. I took it back and they put an in-line fuel filter on it. Didn't help. I took it back another time and they did something. Didn't help. I called Snapper's home office and talked with the President (who was a woman--that was unexpected) and she said it was a Briggs problem and that I should call them.....on a brand new mower that didn't have 5 hours on it! I told her that if I go to Burger King and order a whopper and get a bad pickle, they don't tell me to go see the cucumber grower....they replace the pickle.

Snapper finally gave me the Tecumseh model which was more expensive in exchange. It lasted one season and the seized up for some reason.

I would honestly say at this point to try to find something with a Honda engine.
