Jeramie Posted February 17, 2006 Report Share Posted February 17, 2006 We are still way dry here. Ponds are gone, everywhere. The lake is down countless feet and we are having wildfires every day. The state has issued a mandatory burn ban for the entire state meaning no outdoor welding, grinding, no tossing of cancer sticks, no charcoaling, etc. Its bad.... Real bad. The state also implimented 1-year in jail, a big fine, and the payment of ANY damages by the law breakers. Early this week I noticed black smoke in the air. I figured it was close by and fires are a daily thing now. I got closer to home (from the office) and realized it was actually comming from about 20-22 miles away. It was a 400-acre blaze. It burned one house (that I know of) and tons of other stuff. Come to find out a woman grilled (illegal) and after she was finished thought it would be a good idea to dump the coals..... idiot.... Natural gas and LPG is talking about the kind that when you turn them off they are off, you're not using wood or Charcoal or any combustible material other than the gas itself.
