huntinsonovagun
Came into my apt tonight and the stench of smoke hit me. One of my roommates girlfriends evidently took the liberty of starting up a smoke in the NON-SMOKING apartments, without any concern for other oxygen-loving beings that might come around. First of all, I already had a headache....now it's worse, and it's one of the coldest days all year, so I can't open a window to help it air out. Roads are too icy to be out, so I'm pretty much stuck here, fighting for air. I swear, nobody has ANY respect any more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm flaming! I've talked to them, so it better stop. My clothes and room will stink for a month now. Now I'm smoking......out my ears....

MrWiggely
Re: Dang smokers I have smoked for years. But I have alot more respect than that. I dont even smoke in my own house. My wife and kids don't need that. No smoking in the car nothing. If I want a smoke its out to the garage for me whether I like it or not. TreeStandBowHunter
Re: Dang smokers Yeah like Wigs said, when I smoked, I never smoked in the house. I either went outside or in the garage. Now when I dipped I did but I never dipped in someone elses house though...unless of course they invited me too Boy I miss dipping Don't worry, my next trip to the sandbox, as usual, I will dip, smoke, pipe, cigar....whatever is handy
slugshooter
Re: Dang smokers Don't lump all smokers into the same boat as being inconsiderate because of one persons actions. Do I smoke? Yes I do. But I smoke outside of the house as does everyone else and I smoke in my own vehicle. I don't smoke in a non-smokers home or vehicle, and even if I am in a smokers home or vehicle, I ask before I take it upon myself to light up. huntinsonovagun
Re: Dang smokers Hey, I'm not putting all smokers in this category. I'm just saying they weren't considerate of me in my own non-smoking apartment. I could care less if one smokes or not, but I don't want to have to inhale it. Having a smoking area in a building is like having a peeing section in a swimming pool....
JimT
Re: Dang smokers Dang butthead was just rude huh... Get a rope. Actually she should have been more considerate. I do not care if people smoke, as long as it is not in my house or around my kids.

arrow32
Re: Dang smokers Dont bother me none. As long as they arent blowing it in my face. But most people who come to our house that smoke do it outside.
HarvDog
Re: Dang smokers Nasty! I can't stand it. It was really bad when I was in the Marine Corps because 3/4 of the Marines smoked in the office.
birddog
Re: Dang smokers If you choose to smoke, do it outside: The End! If I choose to go to a bar, or other establishment that allows smoking, that is my choice! HOWEVER, in my home, car, or personal space: You or I will not smoke! Was just at a friends place tonight, 2 guys headed outside to smoke, and even though it is -11 degrees: The host offered them to "smoke in the garage"; I was happy to hear when one of them said......no, we'll go outside: Let them smoke outside, and welcome them back: No smoking in my house! Just a rant, late at night :-)

VtBowhunter
Re: Dang smokers This is why I'm so proud of the fact that I quit almost 6 months ago. Before quitting I'ld get Migraines all the time. Since quitting I haven't had one. I hate it when my buddy comes over, because he's constantly in and out the door smoking, he STINKS when he comes back in, and a headache will start. I never would have guessed just how bad the smell is until I quit.

TreeStandBowHunter
Re: Dang smokers Yeah your right but that's not the point It isin't healthy for me and I feel so much better since I stopped everything. BUT AGAIN ..I know, when I go back, it's back to square one all over again I think deployments peroid get alot of people doing tobbacco whether it's in the sand or on the shores of the Aussies Going back to what huntinsog said, I also disliked when dippers would come in my work space and spit in my trash can. Yeah I dipped too but I always took care of my own spit. I never walked in anyone else's workspace and spit in their trash can. To me that is the same thing as smoking in someones living space when uninvited

Tominator
Re: Dang smokers I hate that too. Especially in a restaurant. They used to allow smoking in the berthing area when I was stationed on a ship. Used to bug me to no end.
tedicast
Re: Dang smokers [ QUOTE ] I hate that too. Especially in a restaurant. [/ QUOTE ] About a year ago, they passed a law in CT that there is no smoking in any bar, or resturant in Connecticut. It is so nice to not smell smoke while you are sitting down, eating a dinner that you payed good money for. I didn't realize just how much I aprreciate that untill we ate in a resturant in PA. whule we down at the Harrisburg show.
