BowJoe
Re: Worst Shoot ever At least you made an effort. Better luck next time. One thing you might want to do is carry a White-out pen and mark you settings for next time. That way if something happens you can put it right back where it was. The white out comes off with a little alcohol.
Tony
Re: Worst Shoot ever first off i congratulate you on not going off and not quiting. you are there to compete and even though inside you were burned , you still made the best of it and continued on. it takes a strong person inside to not act childish in front of other competitiors when a major blunder like this happens. i sure wish you had , had a chance to resight in. there was no way you could have said it was equipment malfunction and been alowed to resight ? thats tough, but theres always next time. sometimes its not whether we win or lose , but its how we act and are perceived by our fellow competitors and in my view you came out a Winner.. Guest Xen
Re: Worst Shoot ever next time something like that happens, get really loud, say something like "i'm gonna gut you like a fish", the shoot administration will be so concerned about breaking up a fight that they'll be begging you to sight it back in and let it go well, ok, not really. being a class act is taking something like you had happen and just rolling with the punches. especially for the younger/newer shooters in competition shooting... a lot of times the newer shooters look to the guys posting the good scores as an example of how to shoot and act. you could have gotten loud and maybe got your way, but the new shooters would look at you from that point on as the big jerk, even if you were 100% not to blame. i commend you on your actions. sorry to hear you had a bad shoot, but it sounds like you handled the situation better than most.
