Re: how often to you guys buy new bows

it just depends on the deal im going to get. i have had my 03 Protec target bow for 3 years now . my hunting / 3D bow is a 05 Ultratec which means im not trading it in anytime soon.

if i got an offer to shoot for someone i could switch over to new stuff. but until that deal comes along im sticking with the current bows i have.

before i got my Hoyts , i was getting a new bow about every 4 years..

Re: how often to you guys buy new bows

I usually buy one about every 2-4 years (based on the "what have you owned" post). My last bow was from e-bay. If I had gone to the dealer for new, it would probably be around $700-750. My final cost used was $400. Never again will I buy new. Let the prima donna's do that and then I'll get it a couple months later! grin.gif

I've had my mathews for 3 years now and don't see anything wrong with it so i will hold on to it for a while. Might change the gear on it but won't buy a new bow yet. I kept my browning bow for 2 years before buying my mathews.

Re: how often to you guys buy new bows

Once I got out of the tournament scene, I finally got over buying every new thing that came out on the market. Actually, for just hunting, almost any bow will do the job. If my Matthews holds up and I don't have any catastrophic failures, I may have bought my last bow.
