MrWiggely
I am just wondering what the big deal is about the blazer veins. What makes them so much better than any of the others? Wigs
tedicast
Re: What is the big deal about blazers I believe they have a slightly higher profile, which supposedly helps stabilize fixed blade broadheads. Also because of their size they are a bit lighter, and will add a few fps to your speed. I don't use them, as I have absolutely no trouble with broadhead flight, and with my short draw length, 3 or 4 fps isn't gonna make a whole lot of difference. Chrud
Re: What is the big deal about blazers They do seem to help broadhead flight a bit. They also add some speed and seem a bit quieter than 4" Duravanes.
PAbowhunter4life
Re: What is the big deal about blazers In my opinion they stear broadheads better than any vanes I have ever used, they are tougher than any vane I have ever used, and they are definitely quieter than any vane I have ever used. The 2 fps you're going to pick up by switching to them wasn't anywhere near the top of the reasons list I had for trying them, it's just kind of a little bonus I guess. For the record, I have shot a TON of different brand vanes, and I will never shoot anything else again, they are simply that good.
Master_Chief
Re: What is the big deal about blazers [ QUOTE ] they are real pretty to look at one the end of the arrows! at least that is what my wife says! [/ QUOTE ] Well now if we could all get our wives to see our arrows that way life would be much easier.
EKYhunter
Re: What is the big deal about blazers Guys tell me, can you get much helical on them? Does it take helical to stabilize fixed blade heads using blazers?
Chrud
Re: What is the big deal about blazers I have mine with a right helical. If I were to do it again, I would probably just go with an offset.

I've just heard it can be hard to get a helix on the blazers!
JKAPP01
Re: What is the big deal about blazers i believe they only come in 1.5 and 2 inch......if you look at them they do have a littler higher profile....i heard that they work very well with mechanical heads......but not fixed blades....but i guess it all depends on your setup....i am going to keep my same set up......since i shoot fixed blade (muzzy) and switch over to the 4'' quick spins.....they are another option.....NAP always has good products....but blazer is offering a free trial.... WisconsinArcher
Re: What is the big deal about blazers They do seem to have a higher profile, which can help steer an arrow. I shoot 3" AAE with a right helical, but things are of prefference. They do look cool with their wraps.

I've just heard it can be hard to get a helix on the blazers! [/ QUOTE ] My Blazers are only offset on my Gold Tips and I will GUARANTEE you no one can get a helical fletch arrow to fly any better than mine do. Dead center is dead center no matter how your arrows are fletched lol. Tests have shown that there is no difference in helical fletching accuracy and offset accuracy out to 30 yards, but after that helical fletching does steer better. So for your averageeer hunter, the way your arrows are fletched truly don't matter.
PAbowhunter4life
Re: What is the big deal about blazers [ QUOTE ] ii heard that they work very well with mechanical heads......but not fixed blades.... [/ QUOTE ] Whoever told you this has no clue what they are talking about. No disrespect intended, but this has to be one of the silliest things I have ever read. I have test shot Rocky Mt. Titaniums, Golden Key Hornets, Muzzy, Thunderheads, Sonics, Slick Tricks and even a couple of different WASP and Eastman fixed broadheads, many of them standard big profile heads and they all flew GREAT! If these people couldn't get them to steer fixed blade heads, they need to go back and either tune the bow or learn to shoot, cause I GUARANTEE it isn't the vanes fault
Chrud
Re: What is the big deal about blazers [ QUOTE ] i heard that they work very well with mechanical heads......but not fixed blades [/ QUOTE ] Whoever told you that doesn't know much about Blazers. They are a broadhead vane designed to help broadhead flight. Yes, I think broadheads would fly fine with offset vanes. I have a wrap on my arrows also, so that might be helping keep the helic on the vanes. I noticed two vanes that didn't hold very well. I would give offset a try. You can put a helic on them, but it is difficult.
