Dirt racing is big in my area but I prefer the to watch asphalt racing. Whats that saying though, asphalt is for getting to the track, dirt is for racing!! LOL!! Racing no matter what the surface is a cool sport. We run an asphalt car and it takes alot of maintenace between races, I don't even want to take on the task of maintaining a dirt car, all I know is after the races we'd spend alot of quarters at the car wash after the race!!! Sure do.The dirt late models are my favorite.I helped a buddy out with his late model for a few years.We would work on the car Mon.-Thur. and race Friday,Saturday,and Sunday.This year I'm helping another buddy with his first modified.Nothing better than a feature win. [/ QUOTE ] You've got that right, our team won some some big races at Toldeo Speedway in Ohio and to beat the best in the area was an awesome feat. Standing there in victory circle makes all those hours in the shop pay off!! Our team is made up of volunteers, no hired guns, and we all have a passion for it! If anyone on here has never been to a local stock car race, attend one, they are neat to see and you'll be back. Its as addictive as hunting!! Used to do it, then had a big wreck and totaled my car.....haven't had a car since but I've been asked to get another one and my employer is set to sponsor the car.........I work for Pepsi, so I'll have my first big sponsor, lol.
