Re: does anyone like dirt track racing??

Het LETEMGROW,Timmy Mac is one of the top racers in Late models.I remember watching hin a couple years ago on SPEED Channel Racing his dad in the East Cost Mods. They're both great drivers.I think Timmy Mac is going to a championship contender in the World of Oulaw Late Models this year.

I like dirt too. My hometown in Pennsboro, WV has an old 1/2 mile track. It used to be home of "The Hillbilly 100." A couple times they held the World Dirt Track Championship with $50 grand for 1st place. But I don't think they run there anymore.

Re: does anyone like dirt track racing??

I'm sure Timmy Mac will be a contender. He is also talking to a couple Busch teams as well as Craftsman truck teams. Scheduleing around his Late Model races seems to be the biggest hurdle right now.

I am expecting to see more of Tim on TV. You have to know these guys to really appreciate them.

Here is the car I work on all spring and summer long, its called an Outlaw Super Late Model. Runs on 10" Hoosier slicks, has a wedge shaped handmade aluminum body that looks similiar to a dirt car, and has lots of horsepower for a car weighing in at 2700 lbs. This type of car runs in the Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana areas. One of the fastest cars you will see at a local short track with the exception of sprint cars that race on the tracks we do on occasion.

Re: does anyone like dirt track racing??

I believe most of our tracks start the first weekend in April.

The kid I've been helping out has ran into some problems with his motor, and it looks like he'll be starting a few weeks late. crazy.gifI've been making some parts for some of my other buddies sportsman cars and late models,so I'll be in the pits with these guys for a few weeks.
