Master_Chief
Re: String Loops I use the string loop (made of small rope) and have for years and never had a problem with it.
Adjam5
Re: String Loops If you go with the string loop, put a drop of super glue on the knots. It helps keep it tight.
hoyt_hunter
Re: String Loops definetly the string one, the metal ones seem to make a lot of noise.
WisconsinArcher
Re: String Loops I use an ultra nockII. I have not had any issues with it and find it to be perfect for me. String loops are faster (arrow speed), and look better too. I like my D loop, but if you have a caliper release string loops will work well together. String loops are cheap, try em and use what you feel comfortable with.

hutchies
Re: String Loops The metal ones also add alot of weight to your string. If you have to take it to a pro shop and have them tie one on. Cost probably $5 or less.

AdvantageTimberLou
Re: String Loops string is the way to go, my buddy has the metal one and he says you have to watch the screws, they will loosen up. Who needs that grief? LOL!!

Doc
Re: String Loops I've been shooting the metallic 'D' loop for a few years now with no problems whatever. The reason I went with that type loop was because it solved a peep sight rotation problem. After chasing the peep-sight around by trying to rotate the string, I finally went to the metallic d-loop and finished up the fine tuning by rotating the loop slightly on the string. When I draw back, the loop rotates around to the proper position and brings the peep right around with it to get perfect alignment every time. As far as weight on the string, I'm sure it adds some, and while I have never thrown it on the powder measure to check it, I seriously doubt that it is enough weight to have much of an impact on arrow speed. As far as the screws backing out or any other kind of failure, I have yet to have any of that happen. I'm sure it can happen and probably has to somebody, but I can only relate my own personal experiences. Actually, if the screws ever did start to loosen, I would know it right away because my peep sight wouldn't be coming around properly. PAbowhunter86
Re: String Loops I myself use a string loop. Is it better I cant really tell you, but I just saw most people using one so I figure it is the norm.
