Swamphunter
Does anyone use those rattling bags?? I think they are called. I want to start trying some rattling but it is tough to carry antlers around your neck. I would like to try something small and handheld. Thanks
Master_Chief
Re: Rattle bags?? I use one. Homemade. Here's what I did. The wife bought material. I bought some wooden dowels, cut them to length. Wife sewed a shoestring to make a strap to wrap to keep it quiet. She sewed the material into a bag. Got about 2 bucks in each one she makes. LifeNRA
Re: Rattle bags?? I have a rattle bag Ken, but my father found a nice real set last year. They have a completely different sound then my rattle bag. Not saying that they wont work, but this year Ill be using the real thing! Tominator
Re: Rattle bags?? Yep. I have the Knight & Hale version, and to be totally honest, I've used both real and the bag and I'll take the bag over real any day.
AdvantageTimberLou
Re: Rattle bags?? I have one Ken, its the HS brand, its pretty authenic to me! I have horns too but they are too cumbersome. Then I lost them but found them. Laid them on the ground as I was loading up and left them sitting there. Found them a week later after I realized something was missing. They blended in well. The bag is nice because it can fit in a backpack or fanny and not take up much room. I know with the horns its nice to rack them against the trees to make it more authenic but the bag does work. Bag is just more user friendly!! Nosdog2
Re: Rattle bags?? If you do make your own, try and use ceder, seems to have a different, more real sound vice other woods.

wtnhunt
Re: Rattle bags?? Have a knight and hale rattle bag, and it works ok here. Have tried real antlers and the rattle bag and really dont get much response from either here. Get mostly younger curious bucks to come in with rattling here. LETMGROW
Re: Rattle bags?? Check out the QDMA website. They have directions on there for a rattle bag. It is in conjunction with their youth activities section.
