Exturkinator
After using my diaphragm calls, I rinse em off real good with tap water, insert 2 toothpicks between each set of reeds to keep the reeds from drying stuck together, dry them overnight on the kitchen counter (well hidden from the little lady because she would throw em away given the chance!!!), then put them in a case and store them in the back of the fridge (gotta be careful because the kids can find em when they crawl in there and rummage around looking for their juice boxes and stuff!!! ). Seems like one of my biggest issues is actually keeping the things out of harms way ... How do yall take care of your diaphragm calls? jbeck
Re: Diaphragm call care I keep mine in a cloth diaphram wallet. when done, I just toss them in the fridge. when I want to reuse them i run them under warm water untill the reeds loosen up enough to seperate them. Then I dunk them into a bacteria killing mouthwash, making sure to get it between the reeds.
Lumpy
Re: Diaphragm call care I usually rinse mine off with cool tap water, stick tooth picks in between the reeds and let them air dry for a couple days and then store them in the frig. with the tooth picks still in between the reeds. okbowman
Re: Diaphragm call care I keep them in my nightstand, I know they say to keep them in the fridge, but I've never had a problem. I run them under tapwater till the reeds separate and I'm good to go!
AdvantageTimberLou
Re: Diaphragm call care run them under tap water, then mouthwash, then separate the reeds and still them in a cool spot like the fridge
