Guest adamc
I live in georgia and have some land we hunt on foor deer and turkeys. Most of the land is planted pines and oak trees with a few good creeks running through the bottoms. We plant food plots every fall but have never planted them in spring. I was just wondering what you reccommend planting for deer and turkeys in spring?? Thanks for any help. adam
dogdoc
Re: Food plots?? i plant a spring annual that includes: cowpeas, soybeans, millet, WGF sorghum, milo, oats, and sunflowers. Both turkey and deer feed on this plot all summer.
Guest deadeye270
Re: Food plots?? cowpeas and soybeans will work well if the deer will let them get higher than 2in. Spring is also a better time to plant clover IMO

Guest generallee
Re: Food plots?? I hunt in GA too and just put in my foodplots last friday. I planted a half acre of clover and chicory and also experimented with whitetail institute's extreme seed blend which planted about a 1/4 acre. Later on this spring ill be planting my annual mix of soybeans, cowpeas, and sorghum.
