jbeck
Hey guys, I'm doing a seminar and I have a little time left over. My question is what information would you guys like to here in a seminar. I'm not sure that I always cover the most asked questions. If you have some things that you would think the average hunter needs to know, would you please reply. That way if I don't have it in there now I can put it in. Thanks Much. Lumpy
Re: Question, please answer When I first started turkey hunting and attended seminars I wished they did more on turkey calling. How to use the mouth call, what words you are mouthing to make a certain call, yelp, cutt and so on. Thats what I wished they did more of. Hope this helps. Good luck with your seminar. God Bless. AdvantageTimberLou
Re: Question, please answer I attended a 1 day class put on by A-way Hunting here in Michigan. If you go to their web site they have a tape called Turkey University. Greg the owner of A-way teaches you in class about turkeys then out in the field to learn what calls work better. Greg is a 6x Michigan Turkey calling champion and host of A-way outdoors. If you go to his site maybe invest in his tape and get some ideas from that. the website is: www.awayhunting.com
EKYhunter
Re: Question, please answer One thing that can't be stressed enough in turkey hunting is PATIENCE. This will kill more turkeys than just about anything.

borch
Re: Question, please answer Probably one of the most important and messed up skills for a new hunter and experienced alike is getting a good set up(behind safety of course). Being in the right place where the turkey wants to be. Setting up so when that turkey shows itself it pretty much in range. Setting up so when that turkey is in range that you actually have a clear shot opportunity. Many hunters get hung up on the calling. To be honest you really don't need to be that good at calling to kill a turkey. Some of the worst turkey callers I've ever heard were real live hens. Safety, Woodsmanship, setup, turkey behavior, calling and equipment in that order for me anyways.
