It just gets bigger and more fun every year. Should be lots of stories shared. Remember to check in with your teammates in the announcements and online contest forum. There's quite a number of real good turkey hunters in here like Strut10, snapper, redbeard, huntn4bucks, borch, Wigs, dartonman, and need2hunt just to name a few. Sometimes that's just how it works out when I draw the names out of the bucket to place on teams. However, Just because your good doesn't mean you'll shoot the biggest birds. Every year we've had new blood that takes that honor. There a lot of very good turkey hunters here and many the people here have access to some very good turkey hunting ground. So don't give them the honors yet. I seem to remember last season that covehunter thumped a little osceolla to get his season started. Maybe it was the season before. Bearded hen come to mind. Some of us may have more turkeys under our belts than others, but doesn't mean the turkeys in the woods will know that and come to those people more easily than others. It's all a game of luck and putting the time in. I know I haven't bagged a bird yet, but have only been hunting turkeys for three years now. My first year I was just a caller without a gun that called someone else in their first turkey. Last year was technically my first year of hunting them and I called in two just didn't have a shot. There are some big turkeys up where I hunt, so my opportunity is there I just have to have luck on my side. I wouldn't go saying one team is better than another quite yet until the results are in. I'm in it for fun too, not camo, etc. Sorry to bust your bubble but if I was fortuante enough to be a winner of any new camo outfit, I'll feel better about donating it to a youth hunter before suggesting an adult. If it comes down to that, borch will be getting a PM from me. Until then let the games begin! BTW, don't even think I'll pass on flipping a 2 year old gobbler over on his back first chance I get too.
