Re: Realtree Turkey Team #8

Just bought the new primos Jackpot Friction call. Its sounding like the best glass call in my arsenal right now, especially with a few other strikers I have, just can't wait for the end of April, I'm practicing all the time, gettin' in tha game!

You fellas bust out your calls and give em' a few rips yet?

Yeah, eager to get out there. I went patterning and scouting, also drove around for pretty much the whole day. I saw nothing on the one property but when driving on the way home, saw about 50-70 with two toms in the flock, just 1/4 mile down the road in a farmers harvested field. They were pretty close, so i pulled over and got out, they didn't like that so they began to all trot to the left, then kind of just settled down, picked at their wings and I tried yelping with my mouth. Two big red heads popped up and I noticed a beard on one.

Probably about 70-80 yards in the field, but very cool to see them so close to my property and got me PUMPED. No cam or binocs tho, guess I'll have to show you guys one of them after I LAY THE SMACKDOWN BEBEH!!! laugh.gif

You can't go wrong with a Primos call of any type. I have the power crystal and I use it to "wake up" the woods when I need to. Sweet call. Seen that new jackpot and may have to get one soon!

Good luck Team. My season starts May 1st!!

Re: Realtree Turkey Team #8

Well guys heres about half of the flock I'm hunting, sorry about the pic, you can barely see. I took this last week. Came down my road, saw half the flock in the cut field and the other half way back in the pines. There were four displaying or strutting by themselves further back, I could'nt get a clear picture of them.

Tomorrow I'm going out to my cousins property to take a walk with him and scout it out. They have about twenty on average walk through their backyard every single morning, gobbling and clucking so loud you can hear it in the house sometimes they said. Anyways, my cousin tells me shes found the roosting tree not too far back, about ten acres behind their house. Two jakes and two toms, the pic I showed before must not have had the two toms, or you just couldn't see them.

3 WEEKS! laugh.gif

Re: Realtree Turkey Team #8

Well this morning and BUddy and I went out hunting again. Pretty darn good morning.

I was set up near a Roost and had a HUGE Bird gobbling at me! I thought he was alone. He gobbled 46 times at my calls using ALEX's Wonderful calls. Well he left with 5other hens. I was upset but thats how it works!

My buddy ended up scoring on this bird!

8 1/2 beard, 1 inch spurs weighed 21 pounds!

Guys let me tell you something. If you don't own one of Alex's calls you need to. Talk about Quality, and most important the SOUNDS they put out. 100% incredible. Alex, Thanks alot for the calls. I can HONESTLY say you calls have called in over 20 birds for me this year and season has only been going for about 3 days. Thanks again bud!
