AdvantageTimberLou
Re: Realtree Turkey Team #8 I went to (4) different spots on Saturday, no gobbling at all!! Seen lots of deer that were just wandering through the woods not know I was there. Seen a nice buck bed down about 75 yards away, he was sunning himself. It was near my deer stand so I got away from that area. Birds have moved to some higher ground as our woods is pretty wet right now. Going to try a different county tonight, birds have been spotted out there just when I am at work!! Good luck team!! Maybe we should send out a search party for Todd! LOL!! MossySNPR
Re: Realtree Turkey Team #8 Got till Wednesday...the only birds on the property I'm hunting are roosted and fly down in a guys backyard EVERYDAY. RIGHT on the property line, can't seem to bring the two of them out, the line is surrounded by a huge creek and a barrier of thick trees. Really starting to tick me off, this guys an anti too. AdvantageTimberLou
Re: Realtree Turkey Team #8 [ QUOTE ] am i the only one that has scored? [/ QUOTE ] Looks that way Ryan, my season ended yesterday, heard some hens then heard then fly up to the roost, no gobbles to be heard the past 4 times out. Weather this spring has been weird to say the least, warm in the beginning, then it rained for about 10 days, mosquitoes would carry you out of the woods, and yesterday I hunted them in tornado conditions in my area. Was probably the worse season to date but like any season there always is next year. Sorry I let the team down, tried but couldn't close the deal! Hope others had more success than me! AdvantageTimberLou
Re: Realtree Turkey Team #8 Thanks Ryan, The next day after season, I had 2 hens and a Jake in my backyard, 10 yards from my front porch. I seen them coming across a field towards my house because a drainage ditch is on the one side and they were too lazy to cross it. So they follow the side of the ditch, I put out a decoy in my front yard and continued to watch them work there way up that ditchline in the back of my house. I got out my box call and I had the jake all fired up and looking for that hen to add to his herim (sp?) I got that jake 10 yards from my porch, if only he was bigger and the biggest thing, if only yesterday as on this day the season was 1 day over! Man, its like turkeys know when its safe to come out!! It did make me laugh though as I went hunting all over in my area while I should have just stayed home!! LOL!
