kooter
Re: Realtree Turkey Team #13 hey guys, I patterned the Nova this weekend. It shot pretty good until I got back to 45 yards. It was a little weak, but I don't want to shoot them that far if I don't have too. Come on April 24th.

Guest hookedonhunting
Re: Realtree Turkey Team #13 How did you do hevi? There was a wreck on 85 south that stayed there for over 2 hrs. we waited a little while and then turned around and went 25 miles out of the way.,putting us in the woods about 30 minuites after daylight. That really stinks!!! Any way i was calling on the edge of our property and i had a hot bird working... he was 150 yards and closing and he stopped answering.(only called twice) comes to find out the neighbor was going to my bird until he realized it was coming to me. I dont know him and am wondering if he may have purposely pushed the bird out of there. anyway... it sounds real fishy. I also saw a tom cross a field about 200 yards away, i called once and he stood there looking 4 about 5 minutes but wouldnt come any closer. From where he was standing he couldnt see my decoy. I also saw three hens. All 5 of the birds i saw were by themselves.

HeviShot
Re: Realtree Turkey Team #13 We got to the turkey woods this am and the birds were hammerin!!!We sat up about 100 yards from the loudest 1.My brother-inlaw was with me and he was calling. We had 3 or 4 Toms come in,it was awsome. When they got about 60 yards they made a sharp left turn and took my shot away behind some tree's.Mybrother in-law has never killed a mature bird. They were right on us and I had no shot but he did.I gave him the go ahead and BOOOM!!!His 835 and a load of hevi #6 layed the ole boy out.He had a 9 inch rope but was only 16 pounds. He was Whooping ang yelling I've never seen someone so happy.I just got back from my land and located 2 more birds!!!I not going to be able to sleep tonight.Hopefully I will score us a bird tomorrow.Man this is fun!!!!
