hoyt_hunter
I went to an indoor range that has virtual shooting. The first round i shot pretty well and kept up with the resst of the guys. Next round was all uphill. I have my bow set at 70 pounds and just couldn't handle it. To be real honest I shot horrible. Needless to say i cranked my bow down to 65 and when i tried to sight it back in i just couldnt, i was absolutely beat. Have any of u learned the hard way? What are your bows set at? Tony
Re: Learned a hard lesson my indoor target bow is set on 56 lbs and my 3D / hunting bow is set at 63 lbs. i find i can draw 70 lbs if i wanted to for hunting. but i just prefer to shoot a poundage that i can shoot all day long. i also found out that with my setups , i dont need to shoot heavy poundage. i get great accuracy and great arrow flight with what works for me. Master_Chief
Re: Learned a hard lesson Not shooting 3D or indoors I leave mine set @ 67#. Practice in the backyard and shoot that during the season. Funny thing I never remember drawing the bow when I am on a deer. Just happens.
