Don't rule the .220 Swift out of your choices......especially if you reload or ever plan on it. The Swift is as accurate as any varmint round out there. It's slightly inferior to the .204 ballistically (on paper). However it throws a considerably larger hunk of lead. The Swift will outrun the .22-.250 by a good margin, as well. I absolutely LOVE mine. The local vermin don't care for it, much, though. smirk.gif

You might want to really research the 223 wssm. I had one and it was a good tack driver - up end a coyote and turn it inside out...................BUT they were having some pretty bad problems with throat errosion on this caliber. I haven't heard much on them lately so this could have been corrected by now. The .243 wssm is only about 250 fps faster than a .243. In my opinion thats not enough to worry about, but regular .243 ammo is alot easier to find (around here it is anyway). I have been shooting the same .243 for 16 years now and I don't hesitate to use in on coyotes, deer or hogs.

I have a .204 and it shoots great and works well on coyotes, bobcats, foxes and such. I have shot several hogs with it too, but I would not recommend this caliber for that. The 22-250 is great for predators/varmints and works well on deer in these parts of the woods. Both calibers you mention work well on predators, it all boils down to your preference. I suggest buying one this year and the other next year. A rifle a year is just good for the hunters soul. wink.gif
