Still hanging in there

Hey folks. I am still but sad to say not any better. I have gone in to water therapy now to see if it will help any, so far I have just been worse but I just grit my teeth and keep on going. I usually either sit in a recliner with a couple of pillows under my knees and reclined back or the same thing in my bed. The doctors are still saying I will be this way for the rest of my life but I just can't believe it. My computer time is about 5 minutes, maybe a bit more at a time 3-4 times a day. Sometimes not at all and other times I can't even get out of bed.

I still need prayers lifting me and my family up. I know my wife and son are taking this a whole lot worse than I am. There are a lot of times I have to hold them in my arms while they cry on my shoulders. It is tough on them because they feel so helpless because there is nothing they can do...Boy, are they ever wrong. Every time I get a change to have them in my arms is just the biggest bonus in the world.

I really miss getting on here but the limited time only allows me to troll and occasionally post. Just know I am there sometimes and watching from the out side and trying to keep you all straight.

Thanks for all you are doing by your prayers and well wishes via email and letters. I appreciate them all. At least you all still know I am alive.

God bless you all!

Norm

Re: Still hanging in there

I'm sorry to hear things aren't much better but I'll keep praying for you and I'm glad to see you got on to post. Have you read the book "Just Gotta Keep Dancing"? I'm reading for one of my college classes and basically it is a journal of this guy, similar to you in that due to injuries to his neck/back, he will be in this chronic pain for the rest of his life. I haven't finished it yet but it is inspirational and I would recommend it. Hang in there Norm!

I sure hate to hear you are not getting any better yet Norm. I hope, with time the water therapy will help. Our thoughts and prayers are with you always Norm. I still have your trophy in safe keeping too for whenever you or your son has a place you want to put it.

Think of you every day buddy.

Sorry I won't be at the Wilderness hunt this year - maybe next year. I am still praying. It's good to get an update and know what to pray for. I will be praying this water therapy is the answer.

God Bless,

Mark.
