Turkey hunting outfitters

I am just curious what it cost to hunt with an outfitter for spring turkeys? Does it compare to the prices for a whitetail hunt, I would think it wouldnt be near as high. I'm hunting out of state this spring, but am hunting with family and not an outfitter. Just wondering what the price ranges usually are from anyone who has been on one.

Re: Turkey hunting outfitters

You wait till you get my bill this spring, I have to pay for that trip to China some how. LOL boy is it going to be expensive, Lord help you if you shoot one cause the trophy fees are out of this world. Then I'm going to pick your pockets on the golf course.

Re: Turkey hunting outfitters

Guided most places I have spoken with charge around $175-$250 per day.

Semi Guided your looking at $100-$150 per day. Often times you will have to get your own hotel with help from the guides too. If you looing at an outfitter I would figure on close to 1K to include lodging and fully guided.

Those are the places I know about.

Prices can vary a lot too depending on where you go, who you book your hunt with, what services are offered and how many birds you're allowed to kill.

On average the price is genereally in line with the numbers stated above.

Re: Turkey hunting outfitters

Price is dependent on a bunch of factors:

-Guided/semi-guided/unguided

-Room & board or not

-transportations provided

-public land or private land

-tags included or not

-sub-species to be hunted

There are so many variables. I know of a place some friends of mine pay $33/day to hunt Rio's unguided in Oklahoma. I also know you can toss close $1000/day into a quality hunt for Osceolas or Goulds and Oscellateds may not stop there. It'a always best to get references and maybe not particularly choose a hunt on cost alone. wink.gif
