A wonderful sound this morning

For those of you who live in the south, you may not enjoy this as much as us snow birds.

When I go out to walk the dog at 6:15 every morning it is pretty much silence as we do our thing. The occasional chickadee or maybe a bluejay may be heard but for the most part it's quiet. But this morning I was greeted with this wonderful sound........a song bird shocked.gif. Not sure what the bird was but boy was it beautiful to hear him sing his tune. He almost sounded out of place as we made our way in the chilly 7 degree weather. I guess this means that spring isn't that far away laugh.gif

Just wanted to share that with you all.

I'm sure that was a welcome tune!!! Of course....this being Florida...we never really get rid of all those tweets and chirps. They all spend their winters here. smile.gif

Yesterday morning there must have been a THOUSAND robins in the back yard. The noise was deafening. crazy.gif

I'm with Steve. The other day I took a the scenic route home from school ( through the woods ) and came across a covey of robins moving through the woods. Once the robins start popping up, you know it is almost spring time. Soon the toms will be hammering away on the roost, the bass will be running & the weather will actually be nice. grin.gifcool.gif:p

Heard a turky gobble couple days ago - that's my spring songbird!!!

It was 65 here in middle-southern Indiana yesterday and I rode my motorcycle for the first time this year. It's really nasty today, though and so back to the garage.
