First time in history of the Big Ten when the ladies' and men's basketball program won the title in the same year. But, they should be worried the way they have been playing the last couple of weeks (especially Reddick). Better fix it up before tourney time. Michiganbowhunter_SQ2 Posted March 2, 2006 Report Share Posted March 2, 2006 Re: Nobodys posted this Yet? i don't think they have been playing to bad...its college basketball...your not going to blow teams out every single game no matter who you are....redick had 2 games where he only averaged 16 a game one game for 11 and one for 22 (thats a good average for some players)...but he hit for 30 yesterday even after a bad start.....it was a pretty good game...down to the wire...oh well...they lost....i'm a big duke fan..but its tough these days for teams to the whole year undefeated or even go through with just one or 2 losses...especially in the ACC, big ten and big east...i just look at it this way....they lost last night....can lose on saturday to NC (which i doubt they will since they are at home) but they still have the ACC regular season locked up AND they are a definite #1 seed....people just hate Duke because they are a always the team to beat year after year Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The high number of turnovers and foul trouble sure came back to bite Duke. Once Williams fouled out I knew they were in trouble. It cracks me up how everyone is saying that Redick is breaking down. Granted, he's been missing shots that he would normally make, but he's still averaged 22 pts. a game over the past three games. Not up to his potential, but still not what I'd call awful. There wasn't much he coulda done with the Temple game last week being double/triple teamed everytime he touched the ball...he played it smart and didn't force up shots and his team won. The game on Saturday should be awesome! I don't know whether or not Duke will make it to the Final Four...but UCONN looks pretty tough this year. That's why I love March Madness, all the bracket busters. I do figure on it being Duke and UConn but anything is possible, someone might get hot.
