wtnhunt
Pretty crazy. Heard on the news a while ago a wounded deer had to be put down inside of Chicago's Ohare airport. Did not catch all the details though.
HuntingInMaine
Re: Great security-wounded deer Here's the article... Doh! A deer gets into O'Hare November 17, 2004 BY MARK J. KONKOL Transportation Reporter Advertisement A young buck trotted into an O'Hare Airport terminal Tuesday morning, avoiding security by tripping automatic doors typically used for deliveries. The deer found refuge near the Terminal 2 baggage claim area. Airport workers cornered it until city animal control officers hauled it away. The buck, which didn't have much of a rack, was injured. It had been struck by a car, a common occurrence in urban areas during the height of mating season, before arriving at O'Hare. "It was confused and bewildered and tried to find shelter," aviation department spokeswoman Annette Martinez said. "This was not a security problem. Airport operations were not disrupted and there were no passengers around." Animal control officers sedated the deer with a tranquilizer. After officers assessed its injuries, the buck was euthanized.
