Re: Turkey Hunters Seat

Funny you point this particular seat out. I got two of them from the Keystone Country Store just this past month for turkey season. I thought they looked awesome for the twenty some dollars I paid for them. I'll probably even use them for rifle deer season just so I don't have to sit in the snow or carry my clunky foldable chair along. It sure is a lot smaller than the chair and lighter. I like the adjustable legs I can adjust them just perfect for the one rifle deer hunting spot I have that's on the side of a very steep hill. My other chair when placed on that hill just wants to tumble over on and roll me down the hill because of the incline. I look forward to using it this turkey season. No more sitting on a little padded seat on the wet ground for me.

$14.63 at Wal-mart. crazy.gif

BTW! These seats are flatter than anything I have seen yet! I was just getting ready to buy one at Cabela's this weekend, then I saw these. When folded, they are the thinnest seats, thinner than HS Strut!

Ah you got a good deal. When I was shopping for a turkey seat our local walmart here didn't have those seats at the time. Heck, it barely had any hunting gear when I went there the other night. I miss our old walmart before they put the grocery store part in it and filled it up with all those instore fast food places. It used to have a lot more hunting gear. crazy.gif I agree on the seat though. It is thinner than the HS Strut. One of the flattest seat of that type I've seen so far and it's quite light, too. Was worth the money I spent on it and then some in my book.

Re: Turkey Hunters Seat

If it does that you could always return it to have it fixed or replaced. A company doesn't know it has a faulty product unless people tell them of the problems they have with it. The ones I have are rated for 250lbs of weight. I'm far under that weight and so is my father. If they do the same thing as yours I'd be returning them after the season, no doubt about it.

I could see perhaps if someone over 250lbs sat around and bounced and twisted on it doing that. Or someone who's close to that weight limit putting alot of excessive force to the seat. Such as using it as a stool to stand on instead of sitting on it as it was designed for. Or rocking it so that not all the legs were on the ground correctly. Like how some people do with chairs, they lean back picking front feet off the ground only putting their full weight on one or two feet of the chair. It could have also just been a bad batch of metal in your seats. We won't know unless you returned them to Buckwing and they admitted it was a flaw in their product, that they were meant for children and small stature adults, or that it was just a fluke.

Thanks for pointing that out though. I'll keep an eye on those parts of my seats to see if the same things starts to happen. This way I can nip that problem in the butt right away and return them at the first sign of excessive wear on the leg hooks. Still going to give them a try though. I liked them better than the HS Strut Seats.
