Guest colohntr
Re: Success in Texas we were in the Telegraph Texas area on a friend of ours ranch. The cool thing I thought was, that it was a low fence free ranging ranch.

Texan_Til_I_Die
Re: Success in Texas Very nice. I was through that area 2 weeks ago on my way to Amistad and saw quite a bit of game. Didn't see any Axis, but I did see a real good Fallow buck and 2 cow elk.
jdickey
Re: Success in Texas Telegraph is one of those towns that you gotta be "goin to... to get to"! Glad to hear that you did good with that axis! Surprised to hear that you were on a low fence hunt as almost every ranch in that area is "high-fenced"! I've hunted several times in the Rock Springs and Camp Wood areas and the whole area is almost exclusive high fenced now. You drive thru the area and it's almost like driving thru a ZOO! So many varieties of exotic animals!
rifleman25
Re: Success in Texas Those axis are beautiful animals, and you won't find a better venison anywhere, they are the best bar none

Guest colohntr
Re: Success in Texas We have been to Texas 4 times and we have never hunted a high fence ranch. I've seen alot of exotics driving down the road in high fenced areas. We have checked into a few and they are very exspensive. I would like to take a fallow, blackbuck and an axis with my bow. Any suggestions on a good ranch.
