Reloader Posted March 7, 2006 Report Share Posted March 7, 2006 I have done very little ML shooting in the past but Just bought myself a cheap inline I plan to use for deer and some target practice in the off season. I am looking for any advice you guys thing I should have regarding periferal equipment or methods. Now I know that many of will give the first advice of buying a diferent ML. That may be advisable in the future but for now I am stuck with cheap...so please bypass that particular advice unless you are aware of a particular safety issue with my current equipment! I have: BPI Wind River magnum Inline ML with black "Iron" sights (I may want to get the Tru-glo sights for it later and If I move to where it is legal I will be looking for a scope for it.) Cleaning kit from TC including patches with cleaning solvent and seasoning patches 2 Cans of Triple 7 loose Powder Powder measure but no flask 1 box of 209 primers 10 TC Sabot Bullets that came with the cleaning kit Obviously I will need more bullets..but maybe you all can advise me on which ones... You should try a few different bullets, with different amounts of powder, to figure out what your gun likes the most. I shoot Hornady SST Sabots out of my muzzleloader. But there are tons of others to try, including Barnes, Powerbelts, and many others. I'd reccomend reading Bluelks chapters about muzzleloading, and use his advice. Read the suggested chapters but keep in mind to keep your gun clean. [/ QUOTE ] Yes BPI is the parent company that also owns CVA. Their guns are very similar but the BPI name is even cheaper sticker price than the CVA's. Go this one on sale at Cabellas for $65.
