bowhnter16
I was out looking for sheds yesterday I came across a deer I knew way too well. He is a 15 point giant main frame 8 with trash on him. He scores right around 210. The question is that I do not have the money to get him mounted and I don't know what to do with it. I know I could do a european mount but this thing is too big.......any suggestions?
huntinsonovagun
Re: Booner Question? Why is it too big to do a european on? I think european mounts look awesome on monster bucks! I say go for the european mount.....Put it on an old wooden fence post, build a base with grass and leaves, wrap some rusty barb wire around the skull = ONE SWEET DISPLAY!!! Guest hunter101
Re: Booner Question? maybe go around to the taxidermist shops and see if they got any extra deer that people havent came and picked up. then just swap the antlers on them. or just a basic antler mount the always look good on a log slice. wtnhunt
Re: Booner Question? Could always clean it up, and put it on a plaque, european mount or just an antler plaque mount. Then later on when you can afford it find a cape and get a shoulder mount.

huntinsonovagun
Re: Booner Question? Check out these links. Saw this at Archerytalk and thought they looked great! Similar to the displays I had invisioned. #1 #2 Here is another idea I thought was VERY creative and looks AWESOME, but not something I'd personally do on a trophy animal... #1 #2 #3 The biggest thing is BE CREATIVE!! A deer that size will look awesome no matter how you decide to display it. You have to post pictures though...

bowhnter16
Re: Booner Question? Thanks for all of the advise.... I am going to do a european mount just because I don't have the money to do a full shoulder mount. I will post pics as soon as I get it done.
