You know whats cool...

Every night when we put the kids to bed, I read my 5 year old son a bedtime story and my wife reads my daughter a story. Before lights out my son makes me get him a Deer and Deer Hunting magazine for him to look through "in his tent", with a little "hunter guys" flashlight! Every couple of days he asks for a new month to flip through...

Thats cool. grin.gif

Re: You know whats cool...

I used to do the same thing when I was little. I'd make a tent out of a blanket and some chairs. Then I'd take my dad's hunting and rifle magazines and look at them inside my tent with a flashlight. I also used to pretend my german shepherd dog was a deer and tie fake antlers on her head. Then I had this little pop gun that had a cork with a string on it and I'd pretend to shoot at her. Then I'd jump on her and tackle her to the ground and be like "I got a deer!". Poor dog put up with so much torture from me when I was little. lol I was always my dad's little tomboy. He couldn't keep me away from the critters and outdoors. While other girls had barbies I was out wading around in the stream catching frogs and crayfish. I grossed out all the other girls in my school with the critters and outdoor stuff, but the boys always thought I was cool. Ah how I miss being that young, everything was so simple in life.
