BIG Splinter!!!

I got a huge splinter today in my finger right under the fingernail of my ring finger. I was reaching for something and hit this wicker basket. I knew I cut it or something because it hurt quite a bit and was bleeding a little. The splinter was completely under the nail so you really couldn't see it. I was able to barely grab it with some squeezers and start pulling it out. I had to have my son pull it the rest of the way out. That really FREAKIN hurt!!! It ended up being over an inch long and about 1/8" wide. So it was fairly deep into the finger well beyond the nail. UGH...it still hurts and even more when I sit a think about it.

Watch those baskets!!!

Re: BIG Splinter!!!

Oh yeah! Things under the nails hurt! When I was building my ice shack a couple months ago, I was nailing two joists together for the wall with the nailgun, and I shot a 3 1/2" framing nail RIGHT through my middle finger and it went underneath the nail of my ring finger. It hurt for days, and my nail is all black and purple. crazy.gif

OUCH !!

I'll put money down for the next week or so, this is the only finger that you bump on everything in sight...
