CAMO RESTORE

Re: CAMO RESTORE

Whatever you do, you don't want UV brighteners in the wash. I have a camo sweatshirt that I don't use for hunting, and it gets washed with the regular clothes. That shirt is the dullest color shirt I have. the UV stuff in Tide, ect kills cam clothing colors. Try a wash in Sportwash, it has no UV brightners and is designed for camo and hunting clothes...it is scent free also. Most of the hunting scented detergents will have no UV brighteners in it.

But if the clothes are worn and faded, nothing could bring them back to the orig color.

I guess that means I can make the wife's old pants look new again. She will think I bought her new.

Thanks for the tip I have a pair of RT Hardwoods bibs that I use during the early fall that could use that treatment.

When washing just wash with a 1/2 - 2/3 cup baking soda with no detergent. Clean clothes at least good enough for hunting and scent free and never a fear of UV brighteners

Re: CAMO RESTORE

I've heard using a little dye (brown or green, such as leaves/grass) in a 5 gal. bucket and them putting your clothes in there will dye the little white "fuzz" that you'll see if you look at your camo clothes closely. Just don't use too much, or you'll have a solid color. Give it a try and let me know how it works....
