Squirrelhunter91
Re: How long should i stay? Most folks never really shut their caller off unless they are howling. I own a Foxpro 416 and rarely shut it off when running with distress sound, I just work the volume up and down with my remote. Rarely do I hit the mute button on the remote. But when I howl, stopping and starting up again sounds natural. It all depends on the time of the year ( mating season or not ), weather conditions, stand location, etc.. My coyote season starts here in NY on October 1st every year and goes until March 31st. In October, my stands are usually 10-15 minutes long, unless I have had a visual of something, then as the winter goes on and it gets closer to the mating season ( late february, all of march ), the stands get really long like 45 minutes to an hour with long sequences of howling. This is all what is reccomended. It doesn't always work. But that's hunting. Gotta love it.
