Canadian_Goose
why does my girlfriend give me a constant update/report on her physical feelings (ie:my head hurts, my stomach hurts, my head hurts, my legs are tired, my eyes feel funny, my head hurts). Am i supposed to do something because I don't have the cure for headaches. Sorry if this sounds a lil negative.

whitetailtrax
Re: Girlfriend When this happens at home, my wife is usually trying to tell me she wants a massage of whatever hurts or....she's giving me a subtle hint that there will be no funny business when the lights go out. Was it Jeff Foxworthy that said "a headache that lasts 8 years is serious and should be treated by a doctor"?!?!LOL!

Am i supposed to do something because I don't have the cure for headaches. Sorry if this sounds a lil negative. [/ QUOTE ] Normally means she wants more attention and/or affection from you. It is not the proper way to go about getting it, in my opinion. If what she is doing is bothering you talk to her about it and be honest, but don't be mean either. Just ask her if she tells you these things for a reason, such as she wants you to take her to a doctor, hospital, get her some medicine at the store, etc. or if she merely just is ranting and just wants you to listen. If it's just the ranting and listening part I'm sure, like most men, you'll develop a way to tune it out, but appear to be listening. lol I honestly never saw a point to whining about minor sickness, because then when you're truly sick people tend to not pay attention or notice. When I want my guys attention I'm just straight forward. Not a fan of the whole women playing mind games stuff. It honestly annoys me. Good luck with that, but get used to it. A lot of women are like this and will confuse you with their mind games.
Canadian_Goose
Re: Girlfriend I'm pretty sure that I was just venting.. she's sick and I feel bad for her. But I'm sick too and theres only so many times i can hear "I have a headache". I know she has a headache... i Can't help.
Guest Finn
Re: Girlfriend If she's under 30, get another girlfriend. You think it's bad now when she's young and in good shape? Just wait until she's older. Sorry if that sounds harsh, but think about it.

M00N
Re: Girlfriend [ QUOTE ] thats funny because u never hear a guy complain and studies have shown that women have a higher tolerence of pain compared to men. [/ QUOTE ] I disagree. About half of my guy friends whine to me about their aches and pains all the time. They act like it's the end of the world sometimes over the stupidest things. Me, on the other hand, I almost got both of my ankles severed in half one time and I walked home on them without shedding a tear, though it did hurt like crazy and I felt like passing out. My guy friends on the other hand one got a splinter and he whined and whined until I got the tweezers and pulled it out for him. Happens all the time with my guy friends. They can gut a deer and do the most gross or macho things, but the moment they are in pain boy do I hear about it and they turn into complete sissies. So, some guys do whine just as much as some women do. Just like how some women can stand the most horrible pains without shedding a tear like some men. It just depends on the person and how mentally strong they are about pain. Not everyone can get a handle on it.

How in the world did THAT happen????? [/ QUOTE ] It was a steel wire about 1" thick being pulled across both of my ankles at a very fast speed. It cut straight to the bone in a matter of seconds. Wasn't a fun recovery at all. I still have scars on both my ankles from that. It cut through me like I was butter. Took me nearly 6 months to get it to heal properly. I didn't need stitches because there wasn't any skin there to stitch back together basically had to heal it the same way you'd heal a very bad burn. It was very painful recovery, but it didn't stop me from doing anything. I'm stubborn and I have a good ability at blocking out pain. But, boy changing bandages on that was like the bandaid thing you just want to rip the bandage off quick and be done with it, but you couldn't do that had to peel it off slow.
