Hey, what a bonus...get meat from the doe and meat from the fetus! grin.gif Congratulations! Glad I'm not still hunting....I'm pretty burned out by the last day of our season in January.....but I still can't wait for Oct. 1!! Weird, I know....

Yeah, what if the doe is pregnant? That just seems wrong!!!!! Why don't they just have an early season for the urban areas?

its just liek shooting a doe in january, only the fetuses are more developed....its not wrong when the population is so big that there are deer living in the cities..i know its that way around here, only about 50 miles from virginia......2 or 3 deer with one shot is better than one when they are overpopulated

thats a real liberal season you got there

Hey, the word "liberal" is not allowed in here!!! It's brand bashing!!!! grin.gif

Also, My point was, I could not gut a deer with 2 partially grown fetus in her belly. Was not saying that it is wrong to shoot them, I just couldn't do it!!!

First doe I ever killed was in January, and she had twins growing in her, before I killed her. The rutting activity usually peaks here in mid Nov, and most of the does get bred then. There is a fairly good chance any doe taken after the middle of November here has been bred. Like mentioned, the only difference taking one this late is that the unborn fawns are more developed and bigger.
