huntinsonovagun
Is it worth the extra money to get the Walkers, or do the cheaper brands get the job done? I'd just like to be able to talk without yelling to my buddies and be able to hear what they're saying without saying "huh?!" & "what?!" Let's 'hear' the lowdown... AJ
Re: Walker\'s Game Ear (or similar products) I have tried some of the elcheapos from WallyWorld and they are junk. I have a set of Radians now that I will be giving a test this weekend. I think for hearing protection the Walkers would be the best.
wtnhunt
Re: Walker\'s Game Ear (or similar products) Was kind of wondering about the radians myself. Look forward to hearing your opinion on them AJ. Was considering using some saved up cabelas points on a pair of them this spring.
Guest ronin
Re: Walker\'s Game Ear (or similar products) I like Walker quite a bit...other than the price. They have a great warranty program with no hassles either. Good company.
LETMGROW
Re: Walker\'s Game Ear (or similar products) I like my Walkers albeit I haven't tried anything else. Like anything else they have several price ranges. Mine sells for about two hundred dollars. It is light and seems to fit well, does what it is supposed to do. Leo
Re: Walker\'s Game Ear (or similar products) I have the Radians and so far really like them. They did whine at first until I adjusted them right when I put on a headnet. Basically, don't let the net get near the pickup on the units and you're fine. They do work pretty darn good in my opinion.
huntinsonovagun
Re: Walker\'s Game Ear (or similar products) Thought I had mentioned I was only interested in the muffs, but I re-read my post and see I didn't specify. Let's hear your experience with different muffs....
njbowhntr
Re: Walker\'s Game Ear (or similar products) The way I looked at it was simple. If you buy cheap you buy twice. So I just went with the Walker muff at the sporting show in Harrisburg, Pa. I love them, but I have nothing to compare. I have only used the Walker's. huntinsonovagun
Re: Walker\'s Game Ear (or similar products) On the walker's, is there much of a difference in the Quad muffs vs. the originals??
buckee
Re: Walker\'s Game Ear (or similar products) [ QUOTE ] Thought I had mentioned I was only interested in the muffs, but I re-read my post and see I didn't specify. Let's hear your experience with different muffs.... [/ QUOTE ] I have a set of hearing Muffs. They're Ok for gun hunting but not bowhunting, because they are in the way for making your draw. If you try to move one muff away from your ear so you can draw, chances are the dang things will go BOING and topple from your head.....and of course, bye, bye deer. I have a pair of hearing muffs for sale if you like. PM me if interested.
huntinsonovagun
Re: Walker\'s Game Ear (or similar products) Like I said, I'm mainly inquiring for hearing protection, not hearing enhancement. I can hear well enough, I suppose, but I'd like to keep it that way. I find myself shooting without muffs so I can hear when I'm hunting, which rings my ears before long. I'd like an electronic set of muffs that allows me to hear close to my normal range, but then protect against muzzle blasts.....
