Swamphunter
I have be receiving this in my email and not sure about it but have got it enough times in different formats that I am tending to start to believe it. Check this out guys... DON'T BUY PEPSI IN THE NEW CAN! Don't buy Pepsi in the new can. Pepsi has a new "patriotic" can coming out with pictures of the Empire State Building, and the Pledge of Allegiance on them. However, Pepsi left out two little words on the pledge, "Under God." Pepsi said they didn't want to offend anyone. In that case, we don't want to offend anyone at the Pepsi corporate office, either. So if we don't buy any Pepsi product, they will not be offended when they don't receive our money that has the words "In God We Trust" on it. HOW FAST CAN YOU FORWARD THIS ONE? Coke works for me! hogwild63
Re: Pepsi and under God?? Must read!! Beenman, You sure told them. It's a good thing you showed up, else us hics might still be waiting for those cans to hit the shelves. All fired up and no where to go to show our ignernce. I was all in a religious furvor 'til I read your post and set me straight. I'm going to have to check into this belief in freedom religion. Maybe then I will be intelligent enough to talk down to others who are into the internet rumors. God forbid..er...you think that by now these religious nuts would know to check out the all knowing, omniscient snoops web site. Man, you saved me. Ok, where's the nearest Dr Pepper plant? If you believe in nothing, then you will fall for anything.
markyj987
Re: Pepsi and under God?? Must read!! I've seen that before and the snopes article as well. It's kind of a moot thing to me anyway...I've switched to Coke's C2 simply because it's much better than Pepsi Edge.
Swamphunter
Re: Pepsi and under God?? Must read!! [ QUOTE ] As with most internet rumors it turns out to be a hoax. what would you do if somone started a rumor about your company and posted it and passed it around and it wasn't true? [/ QUOTE ] Oh please forgive me Sir Beanman...I have simply posted something I found and if you had bothered to read my entire post you would see the part about... [ QUOTE ] not sure about it but have got it enough times in different formats that I am tending to start to believe it. Check this out guys... [/ QUOTE ] I am begging your forgivness Beanman. I guess maybe I fell victim to the rumor myself as many people did the first time they saw it. Like I said I had received it enough times that I was starting to think it may bear some weight and posted to see what everyone else thought. AdvantageTimberLou
Re: Pepsi and under God?? Must read!! Swamp, Don't let him get to you. I for one don't care for the tone of his statement he made against you. If he's trying to belittle you and make you out to be a fool for beleiving the Pepsi deal thats his problem. Sounds like a classic case of "knowitall" syndrome. I'm sure glad we got him on here to set all of us straight or else we'd be in big trouble. Sounds to me like someone just trying to start something. He could have easily toned his statement different, something like.... Hey Swamphunter, old buddy, thats just a hoax going around, check out this link to see what I'm talking about. Later and good luck hunting my friend. Instead he took the other path....... [/ QUOTE ] Good point and thanks AvantageTimberLou... I have been a member here for quite sometime with thousands of posts and have never posted anything that was controversial. I was simply unaware this was a hoax and fell for it somewhat and wanted to know what everyone else thought of it. He'll win friends over quickly with his negative tone and 63 posts. I apologize if I posted something that ended up not being factual, but I didn't start the rumor (obviously, because he found it in the snopes site). I was not even aware of the snopes site but it does look interesting. I just simply let everyone know it was something they might want to check out. I certainly hope everyone who knows me on these forums understands my point of view and reasoning for wanting to share what I had found with them.
