WI2506 Posted March 19, 2006 Report Share Posted March 19, 2006 any ideas of controlling deer in my winter wheat before I call conservation tomorrow morning? kill tags dont work they just come right back in and bring buddies..Tags are not working tried killing deer 12 months a year and it isnt helping at all.. We had a couple farms here shoot 40/yr...that healped out alot....weve got the same thing here too....farmland deer are really healthy. Ours have learned to shuck the cobs off the stalk too...alot of does are dropping twins and triplets. crows are hard on the corn too... To the best of my knowledge we did not lose any corn to deer or any other pests. Around 20 acres, that would be pretty costly though.
