muggs
Got lucky with a beautiful day, the forecast was calling for snow storms, but fortunately they missed us to the south. It was bitter cold, but the sun was shining and the fishing was the best I've ever had. I went 24 for 32, with two fish that measured 30", and two more that went 28". It took us a while to find what was working, but once we did the fishing was non-stop. Here's a few of the highlights: a big rough male. 30" hen the best lookin' fish of the day. fighting a nice hen in our most productive hole: a huge fish that was well over 32"...didn't hookup with it. AvonLKHunter
Re: this weekends steelheading (nice fish): Hey Muggs great lookin fish, I have never fished for steelhead in the rivers by me, I troll for them in the lake all summer. They are a blast, just have to travel about 12- 15 miles out in the summer it is a long trip but it is worth it.
chromage
Re: this weekends steelheading (nice fish): Sounds like you had about the same day we had up here last week. On a river that doesn't get much of a steelie run a guy went 20-30. I went 5-9 in only a few hours. Glad to hear you murdered them though. Sounds like it's going real good just about everywhere. I have to get down there sometime. Thanks for sharing!
