Tominator
Started marinating 12 venison medallion steaks yesterday. I may have posted this before, but this is my favorite way to grill backstraps. 1/4 cup of olive oil 1/4 cup of A1 1/4 cup of water mix that all up, and pour over the steak and let sit over night if possible add a sprig of fresh rosemary if you have it (don't use the dried flaked kind). Next day, remove the Rosemary, and grill. When they're done to your liking, take the Rosemary, chop it real fine and add it to your steak along with some fresh grated Parmesan or Romano cheese. Yummy. Guess what I'm having for dinner tonight?
Snipe
Re: Grilling Steakes Pt3 How many did you loose do to them melting through the grates of the grill... That does sound good....The herb rosemary is underutilized...It has a great flavor and aroma when cooked...
Shaun_300
Re: Grilling Steakes Pt3 You know what? I think I'm gonna go downstairs and do that right now so they'll be ready for tomorrow night's supper. Thanks for the idea Chris, that sounds GREAT! [/ QUOTE ] LOL, almost lost one. It got a little sideways, . Ever seen a grown man risk a 2nd degree burn for the love of a backstrap medallion? Almost happened last night. There were 16 of them, BTW, not 12. After the fam went at them, there were 4 left. I wanted to take a couple to my bud here at work, much to the dismay of my 12 year old, who had 6 at dinner. I actually took a picture, and my wife gave me that sideways look she always does when I do RT forum stuff. Now all I have to do is find my fire wire for my camera. LETMGROW
Re: Grilling Steakes Pt3 Anytime I marinate meat I put the meat and marinade in a vacuum pack bag and seal it. This opens the pores of the meat up, gets more flavor in and speeds up the process quite a bit.
Master_Chief
Re: Grilling Steakes Pt3 Vacuum sealing also works well when you don't have alot of time to marinate. Pulls the flavor in quickly.
